Viva Flores

Viva Flores is a Chicana-Apache poet, performer and short-story writer born and raised on the border. She spends much of her time declaring tiny wars. Her writing can be found most recently in “Lowriting: Shots, Rides & Stories from the Chicano Soul” by Art Meza, Broken Sword Publishing, 2014, as well as regularly for “Black Girl Dangerous”, a popular feminist blog. Her short story,”Highways”, will soon be featured in “Tlaa: A Collective Indigenous Expression”, an upcoming online native arts and culture literary magazine.

Viva spent several years performing as the dubious Chicana caricature, “La RaNa.”
